Endpaper with simple 18thC armorial bookplate of Sir Henry Hunloke of Wingerworth, Derbyshire, and a small calligraphic modern booklabel. Text & engravings exceptionally clean & crisp, a very fine copy in a handsome Regency-style binding.
Last French Edition of the classic French work on horsemanship. First published in 1731 in two small-format 16mo vols : in 1736 the first 8vo Edition was issued : and in its 1733 Folio Edition it is considered one of the most beautiful French books on the horse.
