Rare Broadside Ballad, with no copy located in the British Library or any other major library. The printer Taylor was active between 1859 and 1878. The Scottish National Library holds copies of six other broadside ballads printed by Taylor, all of them of a sweetly romantic nature - Charming Mary Neal, The Nut Girl, Sweet Jenny of the Moor &c. *** The present very rare broadside ballad describes the murderous scuffle at Wincott's butcher's shop in February 1862. A month later Henry Quail aged 22 was found guilty at the Old Bailey of manslaughter and sentenced to 6 years' imprisonment.
