No publisher, no date [c. 1930]. Limp cloth covers with illustrative design in black. Narrow 8vo, pp16 text + 36pp coloured road maps, an excellent copy. 
Rare : no copy listed in COPAC, which otherwise lists only one other Caffyn publication. Caffyns was the major Motor Car Engineers for the whole of Sussex. The text here details their eight branches - at Eastbourne, Bexhill, Brighton, Haywards Heath, Heathfiled, Hove, Lewes and Worthing - with superb illustrations of all their state-of-the-art period premises and numerous gleaming period automobiles.

Great Yarmouth, Cooper 1853. First Edition, original blue cloth gilt. Small 8vo [binding c.18 x 11 cms], c.pp108, neat booklabel on endpaper, very slight wear, but a very good copy of a fragile little book. With a folding map + 6 plates. 
Scarce. No copies located in any British library.

3 MICHELL, Nicholas of Cornwall. Ruins Of Many Lands [Petra : Egypt : the Americas : Indian rock temples : Verona Amphitheatre &c &c]. A Descriptive Poem [with extensive notes in prose].
London, William Tegg & Co 1849. First Edition, contemporary half calf elegantly gilt, black morocco label. Portrait of Michell & c.pp290, bound without half-title[?], binding a little scuffed or darkened, else a very good copy. The 5 plates of ruins at Petra, Thebes, Pompeii, Verona, and Baalbec are quite browned at the edges : the book is otherwise internally clean and crisp. 
The scarce First Edition of a long poetical work comprising 'Descriptions of nearly all the existing remains of ancient peoples & kingdoms in the old & new world' [DNB] : arranged in three sections as Ruins of the Dark Era, the Classical Era, and Miscellaneous Ages respectively : and with very extensive prose notes. *** Michell 1807 - 1880 was a Cornish writer encouraged by Thomas Campbell & other literati. This is his first successful book : by 1875 it had run through six editions. *** Copies of this First Edition are held only at the National Libraries of Scotland and Wales, and at the Bodleian L:ibrary and Cambridge University Library. The NUC Catalogue locates 1 copy only in American libraries.

Name stamp of William Peers of Bury on blank corner of title-page and on endpaper, and small attractive modern woodcut booklabel on front paste-down. Vol 1 backstrip bit rubbed and joints splitting, Vol 2 in very good condition, both vols very clean and fresh internally. 
Pocket Edition - edited down by Ruskin himself - of the original very extensive text of The Stones Of Venice.
